Sea Of Light at South Street Seaport

What: The heated rooftop igloos might be a little touristy, but this event has a unique and entertaining interactive aspect. This exhibit and party was put together in partnership with the Symmetry Labs, a San Francisco based interactive light collective. Symmetry Labs has showcased exhibits everywhere from Burning Man to Panorama Music Festival. This is a multisensory immersive outdoor light show (light changes with your movement and music) with all kinds of food and drink from mulled wine to hot chocolate. Although the site is open 24 hours a day, we recommend checking it out after dark for a romantic and cheap date night.

Cajun Dining and Notes at Noon

What: Skip your usual burrito bowl or regular sandwich station selection to stop by the caf's Cajun showcase. While you're at it, enjoy some live music and even some jazz trivia.
When: February 13, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Rose Hill Dining Hall, McGinley Center

Racial Solidarity Network at Lincoln Center

What: Fordham's Racial Solidarity Network is an organization that is actively committed to building a more empathetic and understanding foundation for the Fordham community. This event evokes the best of Cura Personalis in its mission statement to create a more inclusive campus. They will be holding a two week long training course dedicated to bring together students, faculty, and staff in productive conversation centered on race and ethnicity.
When: February 14, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Where: Lincoln Center Campus
Price: Free, but you must RSVP to for more specific location

Anti-Valentines '18 Film Series

What: Spend Valentine's day with that someone special...your pals! Challenging the season of love with its Anti-Valentine's series, Spectacle Theatre is holding a month long series of off beat and rare programming. Running 7 days a week this event is perfect for a cheap anti-Valentine's outing for friends and fuck buddies alike.
When: Now through February 26, All day

Third Eye Film Festival

What: This season of love, ditch matters of the heart for an exploration of your third eye. The 2nd annual Third Eye Film Festival will showcase 34 films in horror, fantasy, and spiritual genres from 9 different countries. Of these selections, 24 films were created by female-identifying filmmakers! (!!WOOO!!) Not only will you be supporting women in the arts, but you'll leave the festival feeling like you can finally hold a conversation with that film major friend of yours.
